2022/2023 Bilateral Education Agreement Scholarship
Highlights
The BEA scholarship is an agreement between Nigeria and selected countries for the purpose of educational exchange. The scholarship covers the following:
- •Full tuition
- •Travel cost
- •Monthly allowance
- •Medical insurance
- •Accommodation cost
- •Feeding cost
- •Warm clothing
Countries where the scholarship is actively attainable for the academic year are as follows:
- 1. For Undergraduates: Russia, Hungary, Morocco.
- 2. For Masters and postgraduates: Russia (Only for those who did their bachelors in Russia), Hungary, China, Cuba.
Eligibility And Requirements for Russian Applicants
To be eligible for the scholarship;
- 1. As an undergraduate;
- • You must have an SSCE result not more than 2 years old. That is, the year in consideration and the previous year (2020 and 2021).
- • You must be from 17-20 years old
- • You must have As and Bs in your core subjects (This shouldn’t hinder you from applying)
- 2. As a postgraduate;
- • You must have graduated with a first class or a second class upper from a russian university
- • You must be less than 35 years old
- • You must have undergone your service and obtained your NYSC certificate or a discharge certificate
- • You must have completed your first degree in Russia.
Documents needed for application
- • SSCE/WAEC certificate
- • Local government certificate
- • Birth certificate
- • NYSC certificate (for postgraduate applicants)
Application Process
- • Candidates are to apply for the scholarship through the site;
- https://fsbn.com.ng/scholarships
- • Successful candidates would be contacted by the federal scholarship board (via phone call, email or both)
- • If there’s an exam, venues would be allocated to each candidate; otherwise, interview dates would be communicated to those who pass the screening stage.

After applying on the BEA site , you are instructed to fill another application on https://education-in-russia.com/account/login
NB! This application is open from the 1st to the 30th of January 2022. You are advised not to pick law as a course while filing the application!!
While selecting your schools, ensure you pick schools that are located PREFERABLY in the following cities:
Moscow, Kazan, St. Petersburg, Rostov, Voronezh, Belgorod, Samara, Tula, Krasnodar. These cities have a good number of Nigerian scholarship students studying there.

INTERVIEW
At the interview, questions that would be asked include those from the major subjects relating to the course you want to study, questions about Russia and some general knowledge questions.

Your WAEC result is very important during the selection and of course, God’s grace.

Candidates who successfully pass the interview stage are required to upload;
– a notarised and legalised copy, and
– a translated copy of the following documents on the Russian education application site;
- WAEC certificate
- Medical certificate
- Passport data page
NB: The translation is paid for by the applicants.
Documents 1&2 are to be authenticated and legalized by the Ministry of Education and ministry of foreign affairs respectively and these are paid for also.
After the selection stage, candidates would start receiving schools – often according to their choices – for their language and main course. After this comes visa invitation and subsequently, travel to Russia.
